Heres my Bio so you know a little bit about me...
From Niagara Falls NY, 23 year old Jay Zell is dedicated to achieving his dream of bringing trance and techno music to the people of the World through his DJing and music writing abilities.
Taking his love for music to the next level, it was in 2002, on his brother’s decks in the basement, that he learned how to spin. Within months he became the resident Friday Night DJ at a local club, “Groove”, where he quickly gained a loyal and supportive following in the area which, to this day has continued to grow.
With his main influences and inspiration coming from Ferry Corsten, DJ Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren and Paul Van Dyke, all of whom have his greatest respect, Jay is well known for his energy, big room sound and constant big smile when behind the decks getting the crowd pumped into a frenzy. Constantly keeping up on new global releases and receiving demos, Jay gives the crowd the freshest up-to-the-minute tracks available, taking them on a journey of trance/techno/progressive.
Currently spinning regularly at parties, some of Jay’s gigs and residencies have included Tranceforce Soundescape Saturdays at 658, Rhythm and Flow Ultra Lounge in Orlando, Florida, The Maze in Canada, BLU, Elmwood Lounge, Star Bar in Rochester, Sphere Night Club, Sunday Mass at Quincy St., Opium, Shadow Lounge, Club Sapphire and Club 427. In March, Jay was selected out of several dozen prospects to perform alongside internationally well known German DJ/Producer ATB. This opportunity opened the door to his later and more successful gigs. Two months after ATB Jay was once again asked to spin alongside UK Gatecrasher resident, Scott Bond at Club Sphere. On June 12th 2004 yet again Jay was asked to close for another successful World renowned talent, Finnish DJ/producer…Darude. “Bangin!!!!...” Darude
On July 22, Jay was once again requested to close off the series of special events hosted at Club Sphere by performing alongside with World famous Dutch DJ/Producer Marco V along with another Buffalo resident. It was truly phenomenal night with an amazing supportive crowd who kept rocking even while the lights went on at the end of the night. “This DJay has world class skills…” Marco V
Jay has also spun with other talent such as… DJ Micro, Mark Oliver, Space Kid, Josh Da Funky One, Dr.Trance, Joe Zapp, Lee Osbourne and DJ Dara.
This year 2005 looks even more promising! Jay has now started to accept gigs outside this area in places such as Toronto, Clearwater, Orlando, New York City and various other areas that have expressed interest in his energetic crowd pleasing sets. His recent sets on World famous Internet stations DIFM Frequencies hosted by Italian DJ/Producer Giorgio Pontecelli and ETN.FM TranZaction hosted by the infamous DJ Kandaio, has gained Jay International exposure along with his “Stimulation” series broadcasted every month on Holland radio station Dance Central FM. Keeping the airwaves of the World filled with his sound, Jay is currently working on his own material scheduled for release in late 2005.
