Accourding to sony, they will be releasing the three Net MD Walkman player/recorders at the end of december/beginning of the new year. These will be able to transfer 80 minutes of music from PC to MD in less then three minutes
These new players also come bundled with long battery life, MDLP for recording over five hours of music on one 80-minute disc and Sony's ultra skip-free **G-Protection™ technology for active users who enjoy listening to uninterrupted music. More...
Man, I can hardly wait for these babies to come out. Also had a look at the Sony MZ-R900DPC MD Walkman, but it doesn't have the new Net MD technology, though it seems a very good alternative for those pressed for cash. These new md's seem like an exellent alternative to those big, bulky mp3 HD players. A md disc costs only like $2 and u can now get up to 5 hours on music on it?!! That's truly awesome. I'll be trying out one of these in the near future, I can promise you that

don't worry m8, there will ALWAYS be some newer, cooler and better
it's the way of technology
I was going to order an archos 6000 recorder jukebox thing last week, but someone at TA recommended me not to. So I waited, and today those md's came to my intention. Seeing as I have had an md for the last 4 years, it didn't take me much convincing that this was the right thing for me... but having 6gb in one box is also quite a handy thing
all depends what u are going to use it for. I'll probably walk around with it and stuff, so something that fits nicely in my pocket is a must for me

re: "what was wrong with the archos?"
not sure, just told me it was crap, and I have a tendency to rather listen to ppls opinions then reviews... truth be told, I was about to order it anyway when I read about the new md's.. now I can hardly wait for them to be released
wow... preorder of the n1, that's the one I want. how much was it? I heard it's starting price is $350!? Still, seems well worth the cash
I'll probably have to order it on the net, anyone know of a good shop in europe to order abroad from?
Cheers
