I new this day would come were I just get bored of mixing trance and I would have to start learning more about other genres. The problem with this is I have no idea where to start. I've been watching some of the episodes on Dancetrippin TV and Im fucking loving the funky uplifting house music, espicailly episodes 40 and 44 with Oliver Lang and Will Johnston. Can anybody please point me in the right direction to find more music like this?
Thanks.

Welcome to the stage half the people on this board reached and discussed 3 centuries ago.
Now seriously, I'd like to help you, but i'm ignorant in the funky house department, I'm not even too sure of what you're looking for

just listen to everything and anything, and buy what you like....start dipping your toes in different waters, buy some funky house, techno, breaks or tribal stuff....then you can try and mix something fresh and interesting
Theres the link to what I'm loving right now. I've been listening to the first 5 songs for the past week.

honestly in my opinion the next stage after trance is some form of progressive. due to the fact that it has several trance elements but has different basslines. much more funky and fun to dance to.
