Well questions in the title, I'm thinking of going the digital route, but the only thing really stopping me is if I don't have proof that my music is legal, do any sites mail receipts or something similar, or would any of them provide proof if I needed it, also I see that beatport will mail you the wav files of the music you buy (if you want the wav), do they send them on a CD that could be shown as proof that the music is legit, any help in this area would be great, thanks.

I've bought mp3's from Beatport and Audiojelly and they both send emails stating proof of purchase.

I was going to ask the same question since I recently bought CDJ's and starting to go all digital.

Yea I know, well I'm going the Serato Scratch route so I'll still be spinning wax, but the amount I wanna buy would cost me thousands to get plus some of the tunes I wanna play you can't get on vinyl, so I think its time to incorporate the digital technology, plus I can then spend like 300 bux on mp3s and I'd have a good amount of tunes.
Thanks Brad for the info, thats good to hear, I have heard that beatport keep info on what you bought on a database, so if I got into trouble for possible illegal music, I'd be able to get proof that its all legal.

Usable for tax reasons too as its a legitimate business expense

tell me how a digital download is not better than having a vinyl, everytime you play a vinyl it degrades, and you have to deal with dust and clean them etc.
back up your hard drive, mofo
al capowned.

Yea im thinking of going all digital as well, even thinking of sellign my technics, but the only thing is theres not that many brilliant sites out at the moment, liek ive wanted K90 - Super Space for ages, cant find it anywhere but its out on vinyl. I do most my shopping on Tidy Digital (im a hard dance fan now) and they give proof of purchace. IMO, its only a matter of time unrill everyoen goes digital, you may love the warmth or vinyl, but u will die at the clarity of digital. Digital downloads sound amazing and you ca nEASILY hear the difference between digital downloads, and illegal mp3's...
