if all of the above fails, check your IRQs. you wanna make sure that your audiophile card isnt sharing an IRQ with any other devices.
you can check this by following these steps:
start -> run: msinfo32
this will bring up the system information window
in the left column expand "Harware Resources" and double click IRQs.
you wanna make sure that nothing else is using the same IRQ and your m-audio card.
if there is another device conflicting with your soundcard, the first step is to disable all devices taht you dont use, com ports, lpt ports, etc. then do a full power down, and boot back up.
run msinfo32 again and recheck IRQs, you will see that some of them sould have reasigned themselves. if you stil have a conflict, disable the device that is conflicting with your audiophile card and reboot. on start up enable previous device and reboot again.
if this still doesnt work, consult your motherboard manual for info on manually configuring your IRQs. you want to have that M-audio card on an IRQ by itself. same with your video card. some Bios programs wont let you manually config your IRQs, that is an issue you will have to deal with your MB company on.
Hope this helps, Good Luck!
