WOW!!!! Last night was one hell of a night. So awesome! Lets see...

The Venue...
Hhmmmm The party was at some warehouse in the middle of downtown L.A. The way it was set up, it had that classic old school rave feel to it. I guess I missed the good ol' warehouse rave days so much that when I walked in, I felt like I was back in 1992 loving every minute of it. I began getting flashbacks from back in the days. Reminising was all I could think of last night.. Anyhow, there was art displays throughout the venue, they had this water paint guy doing live paintings. I'm so surprised he remembered me from back in the days. He even knew my name!!! WOohoo The DJ Setup was cool, they had the new DJM1000 Mixer... The patio was pretty chill too. The only thing that was wrong, was the guys restrooms!!! We had to use the porta potties!!!

SEX & The People
It was an interesting crowd. Pretty eclectic if you ask me. They looked like eclectic KCRW fans. Nice chill sociable crowd. Well, maybe... There was this one couple... Oh man!!!! I was sitting on a counter top, when they come stand next to me, the guy begins banging her, I begin to feel unconfortable, they get so nuts that he picked her up, put her on the counter next to me! kept going at it, and before you knew it, she was grabbing my legs!!! I was like WTF!!! TIME FOR ME TO MOVE ON! Otherwise, no TA's on sight, with the exception of Hypersky and my self.

Kazell
Holy shit!!!! Once Kazell took over, I lost it! I seriously did not stop dancing, with the exception of a 5-minute break! I danced so much my body is sored right now. His set was really amazing. Excellent music, so energetic. I havent heard him play as hard as he did last night. Awesome. Excellent job Kev!

Yeah the party itself wasn't too complicated to find. The Warehouse was actually quite nice. It looked a bit like some sort of Bohemian art studio with a full kitchen setup. It was really a perfect place to throw a party, particularly for a musical style like Kev's.

Like Woody said, the first thing that struck me, is that as I was walking up to the place, Kevin happened to be outside, and right as I'm about to open my mouth, he says - 'You're Raoul aren't you' ? We then have a brief chat about him being from Manchester (Stockport) etc.

Once inside, the crowd seemed eclectic and intellectual - and very friendly. The opening DJs did a good job setting the tone for Kev. The energy really soared at around 0215 when he came on, and he played a fantastic set.

I was the most impressed by the wareshouse, how it was decorated, and how they managed to keep it initimate, despite all of the people. A lot of the credit goes to Kevin for that.

BTW - The sex on the counter top thing.
