He does a good deal of experimental techno with lots of peculiar sounding productions. The last I heard from him was "Bedrooms And Cities." I really enjoy weird, experimental tech but I like Neil only to a small degree. His sound becomes boring for me after a while. I do, however, enjoy stuff from the Sugar Experiment Station pseudonym, wherein he collaborates with Tobias Schmidt. Also lots of experimental tech, but more intelligent and better quality imo. "Ultramonotone" is a nice treat.

^^^ what he said. Bedrooms and Cities is nice, but you kinda get a bit bored with it after a couple listens. i keep the CD around for when i need to drop a track to kind of disorient the crowd, hehe.

i still do love his track 'Takks' tho. something about it...

anyways, when you think Landstrumm, think raw, mechanic sounds. think high picthed noises and glitches. think of electric ciruits and bleeps going every which way. think of not-pretty techno where just because it's a melody, it won't necessarily be soothing or comforting.

Alright, guys, thanks for the info. Seems like I'll have to pass on getting that CD, as I like minimal and danceable techno from Tresor, not some EBM or Aphex Twin-style techno, ewwww

Neil's output has little to nothing in common with Aphex Twin, nor has he ever done anything resembling EBM as far as I know. He has some rather danceable output such as the already mentiond Takks, and the classic Blam The Target on Peacefrog. Some rather mental 909 behavior to be found there. Most of his stuff is however quite experimental and abstract, and I still have trouble getting into She Took A Bullet Meant For Me (with the exception of Mute Hop Robo Cop, someone get MF Doom on that track now, kthx).
