Nine Inch Nails - The Hand That Feeds (Ben M Brown Remix)

I got a hold of the samples for this song and reworked it into a rock/house deal. It's not as dark as the original song, and I took out the lyrics b/c I don't think they fit with what I wanted to do. Anyway, I just wanted to get some outside opinions on it. Any and all criticism is welcome.

Download Here

Thanks guys!

Nice remix man, you took good use of the guitars in the song! Expected some use of the Vocals, though. Maybe make a loop of the sentence: "Won't you bite the hand that feeds" and do strange things with it might help.

Websley, yea I think I'm going to mess with some of the vocals and see how it turns out.

interesting! gonna check this out, i got my hands on this pack as well and did a drum n bass remix

listening: i like that pitch bent guitar sample, i don't recall that being in the pack, so that's some cool FX stuff you've done. the build is nice, with the guitar layers playing and the beat filtering. I could hear this turning into like a dark industrial track. Maybe you should put a dark acid line on this and some more percussive elements to keep things interesting. Just my two cents.

Well done though!

Hey thanks Ethereal. Yea I tweaked the hell out of those guitar riff samples to give them an airier feel, added a few subtle synths in there as well.

Anyway, listening to your dnb interpretation. Classy dnb track. Good use of the vocals! Good stuff, I'm just wanting to hear more of the melodic elements in the rest of the track instead of just that one section! I don't really have any other concerns with it.

Alright, I put the vocals in for good measure. Thanks for the input so far, I'm not a huge NIN fan but it's been fun working on this regardless.
