Review from http://www.dancefrontdoor.co.uk/article4408.html

Godskitchen is massive, probably one of the only clubs to survive the UK’s super club explosion of the late 90’s …and demise and still be running a weekly club night at their very own venue ‘Code’ in Birmingham!

Here they return to the album market following their hugely successful Godskitchen ‘Classics’ album with the aptly titled Godskitchen ‘Global Gathering’ a triple CD to celebrate their summer festival of the same name which takes place on July 29th at Long Marston Airfield near Stratford Upon Avon.

Godskitchen Global Gathering sees three CD’s focusing on the big three sounds of now – Trance, House and what can only be described as ‘ElectroPunkHouse’ a mouthful for sure, but the kids’ll know what you’re talking about. Each CD features the latest and hottest big tunes tearing up clubland alongside a serious amount of unreleased and UK exclusives as well as a few Godskitchen classics thrown in for good measure.

CD1 ‘Trance’ features the likes of Tiësto ‘UR’ (Junkie XL Mix - Unreleased) Armin ‘Shivers’ (Alex Morph Remix - Unreleased) Mauro Picotto’s ‘Lizard’ (Montana Remix – Exclusive to this album) and the latest Dogzilla hit ‘Without You’ (Exclusive to this album) which kick things off nicely.

CD2 ‘House’ features the hot new singles from Audio Bulley’s ‘Bang Bang’ (Lee Cabrera Mix – UK Exclusive) Deep Dish ‘Say Hello’ (UK Exclusive) and a super cool exclusive mash by Deep Dish called’ ‘Flashing For Nothing’ (Flashdance Vs Money For Nothing geddit?) alongside modern timeless classics like The Source Feat Candi Staton’s ‘You Got The Love’ (Paradise Soul Remix – UK Exclusive) and House Headz ‘Stella’ (UK Exclusive) Crikey, there’ll be tears on the dancefloor tonight.

CD3 ‘ElectroPunkHouseMix’ does exactly what is says on the tin and delivers the freshest cuts from the likes of Chemical Brothers ‘Believe’ (Erol Alkan Remix) Xavier’s ‘Give Me The Night’ (insignificant Others Remix) LCD Soudsystem’s cracking ‘Disco Infiltrator’ (Francois K Remix) and LOB’s Crocketts Theme (Linus Loves Remix) say no more.

Yeah, CD1 and CD3 look pretty good if you like your funky house or electro. CD3 looks very tasty with some electro house from tiefschwarz and blackstrobe, I might check it out.
