two different projects - first named 523, another one is 522, not too complicated is it, if you could, give back on both.

Intro sounds kina dorky to me.

When it comes in around 0.45 though I'm loving it. Lots of tension building and the percs are fat as.

I'm just waiting for some huge melody to drop at any point though

Great progress so far man. A very confident sound to this one. Look forward to hearing more.

Hey mate,
long time no see... trying to give some feedback:
The percussion is nice. Crispy hihats and rimshots you got. I dont really like the bassline sound however. Try to redesign the sound... its helpful to have a very quick decay from a higher cutoff to a lower cutoff level. So the bassline gets more punch and more bottom at once
Keep it up!

I have no idea how the reason synthie works, but its basically like this: Take the envelope, and set attack to zero and decay to quite low... You probably already did that, at least your bass sounds like that...
Anyway, you should have a filter envelope in your synth, which can control the movement of the filter. There you set attack to zero and decay to very low or something like that. So when the note is played, the note starts with a high cutoff, but at the end of the filter envelope's decay time, the cutoff is turned down. If the decay value is very low, the note sounds very sharp cause there is a quick fading from hi to low cutoff

k thats sounds reasonable, so when your producing psy your making bass and synth very sharp like that eh

i hear that you compress your bass, but what about kicks
what i usually do is i divide my spectrum range into four groups
first one for bass and kicks, second one is for atmosphere, third for hights and claps stuff like that, and fourth one for hats and specs.
then i set up a compression unit for the bass and for the rest of the parts of spectrum and then equal them out with vocoder512, altho some frequencies were lost in the process, 90% of the frequencies especially hats, run very sharp and crisp and compromise each other without overlaping.

and then for brakedowns and stuff, like you know when they tune down low frequencies and tune up hights, when its about to brake with a clash and start with hats, vocoder works damn well and pretty handy for other shit, which requires some time spent in other music production software. Also i've got myself Reaktor 5, it rocks, cuz apart from being a sequencer and having lotsa of modules and units just like reason 2.5 does, it has a capability to create a synth that will sound like a syth infected mushroom would use, in other words, quality as good as a hardware would do, even better, depends on the person that using it.
