After seeing Federer, Roddick, and Hewitt miss their shot at the final for various reasons.. I was reaaaally hoping to see Agassi make it through!
should be a great match.. biggest age difference in an ATP final since the late 70s too! (35 vs 19)







Last weekend when I went you could see many of the players warming up on some of the many courts and it was fun to watch.. today I will be watching my first double's match too

11 am for the doubles.. 2pm for the singles!

I didn't realize this either but this is the first matchup between these two as well!

I hope Nadal takes it! I went to his match against Sebastien Grosjean and he owned it hard...He really is amazing, I couldn't believe the shots he was pulling off! It's gonna be a great one against Agassi.

just got home... 6 pints later... Agassi lost

I was happy it wasn't straight sets though.. and despite the rain delay (aka drinking intermission) it was a really fun match to watch.. the crowd was behind Agassi, even if not overwhelmely!

Agassi said in his speech that he would be back in two years.. but I think everyone in the crowd knew it was his farewell tour.
Anyway, I got the matchup I wanted!!

to be honest.. Federer was the player I *really* wanted to see.. I tend to follow the woman's circuit more.
Anyway, it was nice to really see a 'young gun' vs. 'living legend' play a solid match.
After our fourth pint, Nadal was referred to as "Schpantz"

ya Nadal just eclipsed Agassi's total of wins by a teenager in a season on the tour.

Heading into the US Open... Federer vs. Nadal will be a prime matchup.. even makes Federer look like a geezer @ 24.
