I was thinking about buying a Access Virus C, but on the other hand I've heard that you can get almost the same results with a Virus B. So can anyone tell me some real differences eccept the price?
Afterall I'm am a student with not to much cash in my pocket. :P

I've done tests and the only difference between the virus b and c is the EQ and the moog filters that the C has.
If you load the same patch onto both units, and turn off the EQ on the C... the two sound exactly identicle.
This is why they continued to use the name "Virus" because each was merly a software upgrade that the present hardware couldn't handle.
Yep...they do sound the same. That is why when I bought a virus, I got a B instead of the C. I can live without that extra stuff. I barely produce, so I couldn't justify spending so much on something that was going to collect dust. So the money saved bought me a new turbo, LOL.

I've got Virus B but . . . I know Moog filter emulation is really good. Anyway "C" price will decrease . . . A new Virus (TI) is out now.

I recently got a Virus B. Once you have uploaded the latest o/s updates to it from the Access website the spec is pretty similar to the Virus C. From the reviews and stuff i've read it seems the Moog filter on the Virus C is main difference.

Virus Classic is a rebadged "B" with new paint job.
