I don't know, As much as I loved Nintendo, Things haven't been the same since Rare was bought by Microsoft, I think that was Nintendo's biggest mistake financially. Rare made some kick ass NES games in the past and right now, Nintendo can only rely on there popular nintendo franchise of games to survive, The new Zelda is coming out and people are anticipating that one, Though not me since I gave up on RPG games a long time ago. |
Honestly now, Rare definitely is named that way for a reason. The titles released by the company come in long intervals. Personally, I don't think they helped Nintendo past the SNES/Super Famicom.

Yeah, letting go of Rare was a bad decision IMO.
Still if Nintendo and Sony joined is like saying if it rained frogs. Nintendo and Sony split up from the system development. I find it hard to believe that they'd ever join forces. |
They were very close to a merger, way back when. Sony was working for a CD add-on for the SNES. Talks promptly concluded and Sony went its own way. I'm still not sure on the precise reason why they didn't work it out.
