Ok, little confession time. I didn't actually buy the 900 bucks version but I did end up buying the "cheaper" SuperFi.Pro version for "only" $200. I was actually sceptical at first - you know... $200 for earbuds, what can I possibly expect. Little did I know I would be getting an amazing set of earbuds. I can only imagine what the $900 plugs sound like.
I didn't buy them for studio use - they were bought for MP3 player use. The sound quality on mine is fantastic, I shit you not. They actually do not exaturate any particular frequency - trully a flat response. Because they are earbuds, you get great sound insulation - 26dB noise cancelling (at least). I was using stock iRiver earbuds (complete shit) before and even with my player cranked up to "full volume" I was barely able to hear the music, sound was awful and had AM radio quality. I then bought nice over the ear cans but in this hot weather not only my ears sweated like mofos but I also looked like an alien and they were pain in the ass to haul around on my daily commute to work.
These earbuds actually sound business and bass response is excellent! There's actually an active cross-over in the damn earbud size of pencil eraser!
I really could go on and on drooling but the best thing is if you can - check them out! Oh, and because they insulate the sound so well, my mp3 player has to be tuned down to 1/2 volume or my ears begin to hurt and ring. So, even if I decide to go full bass, I still have room to go and NO FARTING - perfect sound reproduction.
The only downside I can think of (besides the price) is that you don't feel the bass all over your ear, like you do with the cans. However, these can literally blow earwax out of your nose, if you crank them up.
In words of Ferris Bueler: "If you have the means definitely pick up. are so choice!"
Awesome really... can't say it enough.
Cheers!

And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true. |
