M83 have made some nice stuff that has a very dark feel to it. Check out the 'Before The Dawn Heals Us' album. I took a chance on it at the start of this year and was not dissapointed. It has a kind of industrial feel to it aswell. Check out the originals or the remixes of tracks like 'Teen Angst'.

Check stuff and artists on Treibstoff, Raum...musik, Traum Schallplatten, Cocoon Recordings...lots of quality tech-house along with minimal and dub. Not stuff like digital witchcraft though, as the latter is deemed Progressive afaik.

I wouldn't really think of Fingerpaint as "tech house". Its more housey, ambient, breaks.. idn. But if you like that track, I would recommend this.
