My friend has that mixer. Overall it is a decent beginner/intermediate mixer. It is solid, with great EQ knobs. He has had it for years and never had a problem. Just make sure to leave the BPM counters off.

Really good Quality Mixer!

No effects, basic two channel mixer.

It's depend on how you want to use it!

well for example, their newer djm-707 is the same price, feels better, has better faders and eqs, effects send/return, much better curve adjustments, and very good sound quality for a battle mixer.

the DJM-300 is a pretty old, outdated mixer. For the money, you have a LOT better options.

I think it goes for around $500 CAD, right?

For that money, you can get:

ECLER NUO2

NUMARK DXM-PRO

PIONEER DJM-707

DENON DNX-300

those would be my top choices for a beginner 2-channel mixer

I've heard the djm300 is solid and a pretty good mixer but...
Check into getting a DJM-707.
If you can find a place that has it for sale for 250
Price match it at agiprodj and they will probably match it.

I used this mixer at a radio station i worked at and i didn't like it very much. There is no cross-fader adjustment and the bpm counters aren't accurate (although they come in handy when you have a track with one minute left and you still can't match the beat). Too me it sounded they same as my numark dxm-06, which costs less and has the numark has effects. This mixer does have a quality feel to it and can withstand some abuse (espically since their aren't many moving parts).

On the other hand, many of the people on the bedroom dj forum( the one with the pics) have the numark dxm. If you can afford it, you may as well step up to the dxm-09 its 400 us dollars. But again do your homework and ask questions also check out the product at the stores too.

I've got a DJM300. It's nothing special but it is a good solid mixer. Deson't do much but what it does do it does well.

i have the djm 707 awsome mixer, tottaly sugest you get it. As for getting a numark mixer with effects. The reason they put the effects on em is to help promote a crappy product. If you need more info on the djm 707 check out the review at www.skratchworx.com
