Well, certainly some Palestinians are (the ones exposed as fakers), but the Palestinians as such I don't see haggled. Take the family"walking through the battlefield. Or the cars driving by. They are portrayed as the sane group. Clearly, the end impression is that of a small group (say 100-200) of trouble makers, and an uncritical western media that labs it all up.
Our most right wing news-channel in Denmark had some quite interesting reports on the Pallywood-phenomenon some years ago. They would show how Palestinians and Israelis - on cue - everyday would meet at some specific check point and throw rocks and shoot at each other. The check point was close to a place where foreign reporters were stationed, and we TV-viewers were shown how the reporters could stand on a small hill and report from the "fighting" every day. Another installment showed an area where Palestinians every day lobbed mortars at the Israeli, and the Israeli fired back. Right next to it a farmer was ploughing his field. Not even looking up as shells fell to the ground within a few kilometers. I can only begin to imagine how these events would have been shown by the sensationalis US media.
