I've gone for "other" as I'm not sure if "socialist" covers what I consider myself
I am a social democrat which is basically all the political stuff associated with liberalism with a Keynesian economy (ie a mixed one) I believe all natural monopolies should be nationalised as I do not think they are as efficient privately operated (not to mention the trust factor of these vital services with corporations whose main goal is to make as much money as possible whilst spending as little as possible)

The "Libertarian" Party in this country is a definition they chose because of their adherence to our original values of "Liberty", when we most closely followed our Constitution (less government, less taxes, more freedoms, etc.)...but it's not to be confused with the term "Liberal" in this country...............that's a dirty word.

I picked "Liberal". I'm not really sure of the difference between Social Liberal & (plain) Liberal. I guess social Liberal is when you have liberal beliefs on social issues, but remain either in the middle or even authoritarian on stuff like economics?
Also, what's the exact differences between communism & socialism? Is power & control the only difference?

Nah, i think a social liberal is someone who believe in the market economy but still think a big government is a good idea, they also tend to have more rules and stuff than a real liberal.

Something that works best as a monoply (ie it has a big returns to scale). For example telecomunications used to be one, trains is one, hydro is one. Many argue that natural monopolies doesnt really exist tho, which I think is true (at least in most instances), we have seen this when it comes to the tele market for example.

OK. So I'm (we're?) 'real' liberals, then. I'm not for a big gov't & the loads of rules, etc, that even some people who consider themselves very liberal in this country (the US) do.
