LOL at stu man. I mean, his intentions are probably good but I think his ego or something is causing him to loose his common sense.
Anyway, checked out your mix and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Your mixing is fukking TIGHT and your levels are near perfect. You didn't try any of that mash-up-on-the-fly non-sense which is good. Just sweet trance all the way through.
My only critisism is that the set as a whole didn't seem to have a real purpose. I don't really know how to explain but when I was done listening it didn't leave me with an overall impression. IDK, I guess it could be because I haven't been listening to this kind of epic almost hard trance lately.
The technique is perfect and your mixing is very above average but when it comes to originality I guess it's lacking a bit.
I also listened to Journey3, and while it was also excellently mixed, I personally don't really like hard trance much so I didn't take to it too well.
But I am POSITIVE that anyone who likes more harder/epic trance will LOVE these mixes (Spacey maybe ..).
Cheers, keep it up Jonas.
edit: loving the last tune of Evolution. wicked.
you gotta get a tracklist for this. if you make a tracklist.. they will come.

Man, now that is the kind of criticism I need to hear. Thanks Metatron. I know what you mean about the feeling in the mixes. If I didn't feel the emotion when I recorded it, how can I expect anyone to be moved by it. I saw Blank & Jones a couple of weeks ago and was so inspired by their set. Plus, it gave me some ideas of style I want to use. And to be perfectly honest, my intentions right now are to perfect my technique and develop a style. I am still really not sure what genre I want to focus on. It was just comforting to know that I can adjust to different patterns in songs and pick up on subtleties that can make the difference. In any case, thanks for the pointers. Can you point me to good websites that I can get a little fresher music. Mine is already starting to get on my nerves.
Later.

Good mix sir, enjoyed it
As Mr Metatron said, your beatmatching was pretty much spot on throughout, nice set of tunes in a decent order.
The only thing that sounded out of place was the way you started with a pretty energetic tune then dropped down a level for the next track, which isn't necessarily bad - hitting people with something big grabs attention then dropping down a bit can let people get into a good groove before you build up again. I think it can just be easy to assume that the whole mix will just build and build when listening to something on here as that's how most things are structured.
But good stuff

Thanks
Thanks for checking it out. Those are the things that I am focusing on now. Like I told Metetron, I really just wanted to try and get my technigue down first. I know that keeping the momentum going is something that will just have to come with practicing as much as I can. Thanks for the input and the tips though.
