in the Buffalo region.

Yeah, they are all an hour and a half up the road in Toronto Canada. Don't even waste your time in Buffalo.... My Buffalo friends who come here every weekend would also confirm this.

I live in Buffalo, and Jayx1 is right. You are better off making the trip up to Toronto like most of us in Buffalo do. However, if you are stuck in Buffalo, the only club I know of that might play anything you might like is Club 658. Club 658 is on 658 main street downtown. They play:

wed = different tech genres
thurs = jungle
sat = trance

I haven't been there in a while, it was usually pretty dead when I did go.

Hey there, glad to see some people finally moving to Buffalo instead of moving away. T.O. is by far a better club scene than Buffalo. My passion is trance music but I have to sell out alittle bit here to work the crowd. You are more than welcome to check out Utopia Nightclub where I am the resident DJ. I spin on friday nights, i generally play 50% hip hop and 50% trance house and techno. You will here anything from Jay-z and Ja Rule to Svenson & Gielen, Tiesto, Ferry, Aquagen, AVB, ATB ect.... After 2am I usually drop most of my trance sets and rock them staright til 4am. So stop down and see if u like it.

i'm from buffalo - utopia is good when the trance is being spun : )

but personally i'd tell you to head up to toronto - only about an hour and a half away...they have an awesome scene and the people are amazing - check out the guvernment ( www.theguvernment.com ) - mark oliver (the house dj) spins on sat. nites and is great - they also have special events now and then with well known dj's- so check out the site and definitely check out the club for an awesome time : )

starshine thanks for the compliment. I wish i could play trance all night but you know how some people in buffalo are. You have a good point about the guvernment. Marc Oliver is sweet, whenever I am off on saturdays I venture to T.O. to get some new vinyl and go clubbing. I personally like to go to Limelight and see Peter Ivals spin, but now Limelight is closed for remodeling. I guess i will have to find a new spot to party, but I know it won't be that hard in Toronto, it is amazing there. For those interested my club's website is www.utopiabuffalo.com, it hasn't been updated in awhile but look for some new info on it soon.

If you like Peter Ivals (aka Peter the Greek) check out Viva nightclub, where PvD is going to be spinning Easter Long weekend. Peter has a residency there on Fridays. He is very good. TO is tons of fun to party. I can't believe all the talent we get up here...as for the guy moving to Buffalo, come up here to party, the invite is always there. Visit the TO forums to say hi...

Actually Peter Ivals is now playing upstairs at Lotus on Fridays. Mark Oliver is on the main floor at Lotus on Fridays and then makes his way up to Markham for Late night at Viva starting at 4. Any way you slice it, Toronto's got quite the party scene!

Nik, I was at Utopia this last Friday night. I rarely make the trek downtown, but we got in for free, so it was cool. I was impressed with what I heard of your set. You actually played recent tracks, lol, with the exception of the Blade song, which is always acceptable in my book anyway. What was that track you played that had "the roof is on fire" then had a laser sound that reminded me of crazy bacon?

Hey essential thanks for coming down. I am glad you liked my set. I always try to play for the crowd and give them some new tracks. The track you are looking for is a 2003 remake of De Bos - On The Run, it is called De Bos vs. Supersonic - Running Again (Mr. Raws Dub Mix). If you can make it down to Utopia again soon that would be cool. We are doing some remodeling to the front bar and we are installing new lights over the dance floor. Right now we have 12 trackspots, but we sold them and bought 10 technobeams. You will be able to see the difference in lighting. Technobeams can do so much more, I can't wait to use them when I am spinning. Anyways take care and hope to see a few more people from TA at my club (www.utopiabuffalo.com).
