Above & Beyond - info for a visitor from Toronto please
I will probably be in Chicago for this if everything goes as planned. They were unbelievable in Toronto a couple months back. A few questions.
1. Do you need to buy tickets in advance?
2. Vision, what's it like...dress code?, crowd? afterhours?
3. Drinking or other crowd?
4. Suggestions of things to do during the day Saturday and Sunday
5. What area should I stay in?
thanks

1. no - you probably don't need to buy presales for A&B - most ppl probably don't know who they are in chicago
2. vision is a cool club - lots of room and levels - there really isn't a dress code - just look neat and put together - most of my guy friends go in jeans and a decent t-shirt - afters is usually word of mouth and there isn't an "official" afters hours place/club
3. drinking crowd
4. lots to do - go to digitalcity.com and it will have suggestions - depends on what you like to do
5. stay somewhere downtown or in the loop - other TA's will be able to tell you hotels - i live downtown so no need for me to stay in a hotel

Thanks for the info...
People won't know who A&B are - what a shame.
So I guess that means Vision closes at 2am or around that time like Avalon in Boston.

Vision closes at 5am
trance just isn't that big here, except for when the big guys come to town - Tiesto, Armin, PVD, etc...
Honestly I have seen all the above in the last little while and Above and Beyond were by far the best
Party of the year in Toronto thus far for Trance.

Lower your expectations now in all aspects.
The pathetic crowd which will (or will not) show up isn't likely to do well for the morale of A&B. Is it just Paavo and Jono again?

i was at the A+B show at the guvernment a month ago.. what a fucking show... having also lived in chicago i can tell u straight that you will be dissapointed.
1. no, def not, no lineup either
2. vision is alot smaller than guvernment with a more conservative crowd
3. drinking crowd
4. check out the lake... get off fullerton and walk towards downtown along the beach
5. most hotels in downtown area are expensive i think

Looks like my friend is backing out, I might go check them out in Detroit instead. Thanks for the information.
I can't believe the scene is that bad in Chicago, but as I always tell my friends we don't realize how good we have it in Toronto.
