Which sounds sadder?

I was wondering which one sounds "sadder" : Above and Beyond - No one on Earth (San Francisco remix) OR Ferry Corsten - Sublime (Thrillseekers)

"No One On Earth" is sadder than "Sublime."

It is, but not in the way the thread starter intended.

I don't really find Sublime sad... Well, maybe a bit.
It's more mindblowing than sad.

I don't think trance by itself can be "sad". It all depends on the lyrics. No One On Earth isn't sad at all, the lyrics are rather hopeful.

Yes trance alone can be uplifting, but sad?, naw.

but melodies themselves can be sad; you being a producer should know that. there are certain keys/chords that are actually classified as 'sad'.

personally i find a sad or melanchollic melody by itself can be more emotionally powerful without the pollution of human language. just my opinion though.

as for these songs, i'm not a huge fan of either but i suppose that i would say "no one on earth" is sadder.
