it's been some time since I last shared some of my stuff with you. This is just something I coocked up trying out some sounds and settings. Maybe it will evolve into a cheesy Armin track, maybe it will grow up to be a hard trance track. And maybe it will never be more than this:

Vocals are interesting... but they are taking up too much headroom for the intro. Repeating the vocal was a bit too cheesy. Instead of repeating it... THREE TIMES... try to hold off on the words, and choreograph your intro better:
"IF you're frightened of dying... and you're holding on..."
- Big Pad swells... your leads shimmer a melody and a shaker hisses while the words echo softly ... "if you're frightened of dying... ... ... and you're holding on" They echo audibly so that the next phrase will make sense:
"You'll see devils staring your life away..."
- Big pad swells again with a reverb-THUMP... Strings will crescendo, and you'll hear the arpings again softly tumbling back down. This isn't as long...
"But..." REVERB THUD AGAIN "If you've made your peace. Then the devils are really angels; freeing you... ... from the earth..."
-As this line is stated... the strings' filter is removed almost entirely revealing a very steady stream of soft chords... "From the earth"... will echo again and again getting softer.
A Snare roll... and then "From the Earth" gets louder again... LOUDER "FROM THE EARTH" will come back again in it's entirety before the snare roll stops to an effect - all the strings cease... then... then... the trance beat begins.
I realize that I'm dragging a large amount of time for 3-4 sentences... However, by focusing more on the ambience, and perhaps, softly echoing the phrases before the next sentence... this could work better in my mind... but the point is:
This would be so much cooler... don't you think? Raise the bar on yourself... don't hold back!

thank you VERY much for your ellaborate feedback! I fully agree on the essence of your comments, esp. on the choreography: the whole composition of it should have more work. This is just a first sketch made in a couple of minutes (with some additional tweaking time afterwards) to try out the vocals, settings on processing of the vocals and the supersaw. The composition was of minor interest at that time.
I gather you can appreciate the overall idea of it, stating that this could be so much cooler. I wil now give the intro and overall track some serious work.
BTW: the words are actually "You'll see devils TEARING your life away..." Thanks again dude.
Troia: thank you so much for your kind words, glad you like it . Since this is still work in progress I will not share any elements of it at this time, but maybe later! I will definitely post a new version later on.

Vocals are repeating WAY too much.
Oh, I really had a nice arpeggio going on in my head while listening to this. If you give me the pad-midi, I might help you out with it Cuz this track lacks a energic arp - I can tell

Alexpea: I know the vocal is too repetetive: logic, since this soundbite was made for testing the vocal with additional synth parts and master settings.
What kind of arp do you have in mind: Supersaw arp or something more special?
