I think there has been a great improvement in the trance sound compared to what it has been. Having said that, I dont see it as a comeback, though its fair to say that TRANCE never died.. if you ask me. Just look at the top DJ's on the list and they play a great role on keeping and bringing this sound, yes even Tiesto. That EM set takes another step on the stuff that should get played. Among others such as John O Bir. But my conclusion is that I dont see that light that will overshine what House and Progressive have been doing lately.. great works have been coming out of this Genre's as well.. and its obvious with so many geniouses who cross barriers.. Sasha, Sander, Zabiela, Max, and on and on.. Trance is well represented in world wide scale by Ferry, Armin, Tiesto, O'Bir, Oakenfold ( Have heard great stuff from him lately ).. and others overseas. Locally, we got our own who have pushed the trance sound to date, Gerry, Eric, DJ Doug who I once saw play and was awesome. |
