Why is it that in one of the richest countries in the world, people cant find $40 a week to party with?

I know people in 3rd world countries that would put most people here to shame with the amount they spend on a night out. And practically begging for free stuff all the time would be completely frowned on too.

some of my fondest bday celebrations have not been in a club. it's been at a house party or just getting drunk at the park with my closest friends. seems juvenile but you don't need to spend much money to celebrate.

yeah.. $20 bucks but people don't usually go and just have 3 shots.. they tend to buy a lot more and over-spend. that's what holds them back sometimes. it sucks though for the bday person... it's happened to all of us.
