[Review] D:Fuse & Scot Project @ Avalon 09-10-05

Awesome night. D:Fuse really rocked the house. And it was really cool to see him use the percussion on the side (somewhat live PA I guess) and DJing. Really awesome. And Scot threw down some nice, hard stuff. Surprised he remixed Lethal Industry
I ran out of battery power on my Digi Cam, so I had to use my Camera on my phone.

ohhhh man.... what a night, hey Big Mike, i was in the booth around 3:30-4AM with the hat on, dont know if you saw me? was it you who that girl gave your drink to one of my friends? if so, just apologizing (for my friend), he was a little gone, and so was that girl, so i think she thought it was a good idea to just give away ur drink. but yea, D:Fuse really rocked the house, i loved what he did with that live percussion, ive nevre seen nething like that in a club, at a rave once yes, but not at a club. only song i recognized was his track with Jes Brieden.

now, onto Scot Project.... holy shit, what a set, a little short, but amazing nonethless. my boy Gerard did a good job at IDing a lot of the tracks, so here it is from what me and him remember... rank1-top gear..tocs-1..e-craig-call it a day...yakooza-i wanna feel,mr sam-lyteo...scot project-i want your love, sum weird ass version of rock...hennes and cold-the second trip..... and lethal industry, dont know which remix... also... WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT REMIX OF DK :: "murder was the bass"?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! i need to know!

...a note on Avalon.... Avalon officially has the nicest light system now in NYC.... worst crowd, but nicest lighting, and improved sound, i gotta hand it to them

the sad part about these shows is how few people go them and the ones that are there hardly dance at all. i kept looking around from where i was (near the booth up on the balcony to the left side) as i was dancing the whole time and just saw people standing there not even into the music. scot project is soo much better than any of the shows that i've been to recently. people rant and rave about ferry and his recent shows, but they lack in comparision.

i go out to a club i want energy and relentless beats. i need music to keep me dancing the whole time (esp if i go out sober like i do most of the time) i'm not looking for a scot project show to get completely overcrowded but it would be nice to see the people that go appreciate the music that he is throwing down. this was my 3rd time seeing him and honestly he is at the top of my list as far as dj's go these days. the big 4 (pvd, tiesto, armin, and ferry just arent throwing down enough trance that is hard enough to keep me moving anymore. i will say that armin's show at spirit was really good though and i hope he has another one like that at crobar.

i just wish they would get scot at another venue...the lasers were nice last night but avalon sucks as a club. get scot project over to spirit...

Yea, You were wearing glasses I believe. Was your friend the one who was poking Scot like every 2 minutes? If so, I know who he was. :-p As for the drink, don't remember :-s
