I once was dancing so hard in my basement that I pulled my shoulder.
Yes, I was by myself.
Yes I was wasted.
Yes I was embarassed.

I have you all beat! I danced too hard at the fucking TOTA Cottage party of Nada's that I fucking gave myself a shin splint in my right leg!
I gave myself a shin splint from dancing too hard (and prolly too long over the weekend)... WHO DOES THAT I ask you.
That's when you know you're pumped!
Its why im also taking a break till 9 Year... get my legs treated and healed properly so im back in full-form again... it'll feel so good.
i dunno if any of yall have had shinsplints before, but they are EXTREMELY excruciatingly painful if once they start acting up and you dont listen to them and stop yourself. I was needing to be popping back Advils while on E just to be able to ignore the extreme surges of pain that were blazing in my legs.
I honestly felt when I was dancing like my shins were gonna bend in 1/2 backwards... THAT's how painful it was... yet I still kept going (and sought out Advil to try and dull the pain... never got rid of it all though, unfortunately... but you gotta do what you gotta do...
i love dancing... it was worth it... so i stomached it and just did my best to ignore the pain!

Montreal parties always gave me shin splits.
We need to get special insoles for that.
Parties in TO never go long enough (except Danny T when my butt hurt for 2 weeks).

Get yourself a Theraband and do this exercise ...flexing and extending your foot. Start with only a few repetitions then work your way up. You likely have inflammation of the muscle facia of your lower leg. You have to get some blood flow in there. And if the ibuprofen (Advil) isn't helping, you might want to try a herb called Devil's Claw.
And to prevent it in the future, don't jump on the dancefloor and start by going crazy...work your way up. If the muscle gets "pumped" without the facia being able to expand as well, that can cause the pain you feel. Just some advice...
