TranceAddict NON-LIVE MP3 Mixing competition I.

Mixes due in by JULY 31st!!!!
The Rules...
1. You may ONLY mix with MP3's with any PC based software. You may re-edit, remix, re-sort any tracks or in any way you see fit.
2. You may not download other contestants mixes. The mix must be exclusive for the competition.
3. You must mix with Trance in mind. This rule bends as far as Progressive, Hard, Psy Trance and ambient undertones.
4. Mixes must be upto CD Length, not exceeding 80 mins or below 50 mins. No Track amount limit.
5. All mixes must be uploaded with a tracklist, ideally with your initials besides the tracks you edited. A cue sheet would also help.
6. Contestants may not also be a judge, you have the choice to be either, not both.
7. All DJs may state how they have made their set, ie which program used.
8. Mixes must be submitted in 128-160kbps Mp3 quality, CBR or VBR, no Mp3-Pro files are allowed.
9. Please make your mix to your best abilities. Old Skool snapping together of tracks IS allowed but will probably be slated for poor mixing.
10. Have fun.
HOW TO JUDGE...
1. All mixes must be marked on skill and the way the contestant progresses their mix, NOT ON PERSONAL OPIONION OF THE CONTESTANT OR THE TRACKS HE WISHES TO MIX.
2. Mixes will be marked on the following categories:
a) Originality and Feel
b) Beat-matching
c) Transition harmonics
All sections contain 25 marks, no section is worth more than another.
A percentage will then be calculated from these three areas to give a better comparison.
3. You are not allowed to share any kind of feedback about the mixes until the final rankings are posted.
Both DJs and judges may be disqalified for not following the rules.
NO JUDGES will be of "TranceAddict in training" stature.
All TOP 5 mixes WILL be hosted free after the competition. Just await the relevant Links.
