Cat on an appartment

So my girlfriend an I are considering having a cat @ our appartment, but we don't know if we should actually... We'd be out working all day, we both go to school @ night (different nights), so the cat would be pretty alone... Another problem is the fact that we live on the 3rd floor, so letting the cat out wouldn't be possible...

I've always been against cats @ appartments because i thought it's rather sad, but right now I don't know what to think about it... we just really want a cat...

So the magical CORe question: what should we do acCORding to the CORe?

PS: I tried sticking it up the pooper, but that doesnt seem to solve the problem...

the cat doesnt have to go outside. if i were you, ide get a kitten and never let it outside, then itll get used to being indoors all the time. ive had two cats before, and one of them never went outside ever. he was perfectly fine. they just dont get that exercise, they get bored and eat a lot out of boredom, so they might get fat. my other cat got into some dangerous trouble with dogs and parasites, so i never let him out anymore. at first, he begged and begged, but finally the begging stopped.

it's recommended that you get two cats so they can keep each other company, but i dont know if you want to do that. since i have only one cat, once i get home, he's all over me the entire time. i get home, he follows me everywhere, i watch tv, he chills on my lap, i go to the computer, he chills on my lap, i go to bed, he uses my pillow as his. when i had two cats, he wasnt so affectionate.

If you are really interested in getting a cat... get one. After the initial period of being brought into a place (after they are kittens) they sleep much of the time. Its what cats do. If you would feel bad about them being alone... get 2. They would rule the place whilst you are gone.

true, two cats definately keep each other company. if u have one, it will sleep most of the time you are not there, and then be all over you when u finally are there. itll get fat from eating out of boredom, so dont give it food out of a despinser.

Dont get a cat.

For first pets, get a tank of fish. Easy maintenance.

cats are easy too. give them food and water, and do the litter every 2 days or so and theyll be fine.

Don't get one, money, time and energy cleaning it all up,and vets, plus when it does eventually fall/jump from your window from boredom you'll have the emotional drain of having lost a pet.

You know your not meant to get one.

I have a cat and he is an indoor cat.....I work all day but that doesn't bother him as he sleeps all day. If you want a cat get one...they are pretty good at taking care of themselves as long as you give it food.

On a side note....poop doesn't stick to cat hair very well.
