If there is no way back for a kid, I don't see the reason to keep it suffering the litle time it has left...

+1

I hope laws like this become standard practice in most countries.

EDIT:
Before someone starts flaming let me set you an example. A year ago at the age of 20 years a daughter of our family friends had died. When she was bornež, she was diagnosed with a disease (dont know which) which basicly left her an empthy shell of a human. She looked like a 4 year old and wasnt aware of her self at all, actualy it was more like her brain died the second she was born, but the body forgot to die with it. For 20 years her parent loved her and cared for her and were werry saddened when she died, but at that funeral for the first time ever that i have seen them, they didnt look like they had the weight of the world on their shoulders.
In cases like this wouldnt it be better to end it early. The parents are spared many burdens, and the child...well since she wasnt avare that those 20 years ever happened she woudnt miss out on anything would she?

this is the same thing as the death sentence, how do you determine who is "qualified" and who isn't? read the other article where they only approved 46 percent, meanwhile about 26 percent died and 12 percent were turned down.

This is fine by me. If people are suffering and their is no cure than the person should die with help from a doctor and the consent of his parents.

What is kind of strange is that Holland always seems the nation to lead when it comes to gov restrictions and basically what I am saying is that the Hollish government is surely a lot different from the rest of the governments in the EU and North america.

If two doctors diagnose a baby that it is going to die for sure, I'm pretty certain that the probablity is EXTREAMLY small that they are wrong.

No one is going to FORCE the parents do make that decision, you ever read the part about parents consent?! If they don't want to they don't need to, they are just given the freedom to do so if they want to.

What an ignorant statement -
I can tell you've never had children. Did you know that most parents would WANT to do anything they can to ease their child's suffering? That's what THEY want, the parents, the majority of them.

Of course YOU only know one case - Terry Schiavo - where that's what her parents wanted. But I can assure you there are many more... in fact that's what the MAJORITY of parents would want.

Know one case? I work in a hospital, moron. Don't make assumptions if you don't know anything about it. During the Shiavo case alot of patients parents were talking about this case and only one or two of them actually would want it on their children, the fact that they have to sit there and look at the clock and know that in 3 mins for example their child will be dead is no more of a grief lifter than passing away naturally. Also, since you apperantly don't knwo anything about passing away in a hospital, they pump so much shit in you it makes the passing much easier than you would think.

No way!!! Most of the parents you're referring to had children with slightly less extreme cases! And I don't even want to talk about the "opinions" of parents with healthier children, because they're not in that situation and their general musings don't count for SHIT.

You can't honestly tell me that you've seen a lot of parents with children who were brain-dead and were expected to die shortly. With that specific condition

But like it's been said. The parents will have the final say whether or not they should kill their children. If the parent doesn't want the doctors not to do it then they wont
