Presents in Christmas
This thread is about the traditional people who make the Christmas presents in the different countries around the world.
Here in Spain, we have as far as I know four traditions;
1.- This is imported: Santa Claus.
2.- Kings of Orient: The traditional one of Spain although they make the presents the night of the 5th of January.
3.- Tio: This is traditional of Catalonia. It is a trunk covered with a blanket. The children must strike it with a cane in order to obtain presents.
4.- Olentzero: This is traditional of the Basque Country. He is a coal miner that comes from the mountains and make presents to the children.
Any different tradition? I suppose so. Let us know, please.
