Hey everyone,

I had this mix up here a couple weeks ago but I deleted the thread because I was unhappy with the overall quality. I made some changed and completely re-mixed the entire mix.

The goal behind this was to, like the title suggests, simulate a kind of experience I might perform when I would play out somewhere as if I was the headline to a gig. The song selection was very important because I believe a variety creates a great overall feeling of anticipation and satisfaction when done right. As for the overall style, I wanted songs that were dark, maybe a little spooky, and nothing too upbeat and happy.

The progression is pretty traditional in that it gets harder and more energetic as the mix goes on and then, at then end, bring it down into a big explosion of melodic perfection. Hah. Sounds like a real review but still I think it describes the mix pretty accurately.

Anyway, I just wanted to give you a little background to the mix before you listen and download. And thanks in advance for your comments and for listening.
