youve got to be fucking kidding me. miami's edm scene is the envy of the nation. yes it is predominantly house, but the big name trance hitters come here at least a couple times a year, tiesto, ferry, pvd, etc, not to mention wmc. miami is mecca when it comes to clubs, nightlife culture, and diversity. what other city can you go out at 8pm to a lounge to listen to some soulful beats, then head to another venue on the beach and listen another genre till 5am, and then head to space or nocturnal and listen to funky, groovey house? seriously i want an answer... miami is an amabassodor of cutting edge edm here in america, you here it in MIAMI FIRST, then everywhere else, end of stroy. there is something for everybody here, yes trance isnt as prominent as years past, but musik is cyclical. seriously i hope you were just bored because this is one of the dumbest threads of 2005. trust me you dont know what youve got till you move out the area, thats where i am at right now. |
This was well said, Neil.
I got into EDM in '99, 2 years after first moving here, and I can't possibly imagine living anywhere else in the U.S., despite the low number of trance events.
Now, Europe, on the other hand...Amsterdam. That's where'd I move to if I could. No lack of music for me there.
