Ok after a second listen I can safely say that this may possibly be my favourite DM album. It just feels so complete, so dark, so heavy (pain that im used to) yet hopeful (nothings impossible). It just has it all. The grooves (oh lillian, john the revelator), the classics (pain that im used to, precious. It really merges the ambience of DM with its industrial and synth side. What can i say...maybe it came out at the right time (as ive just recently been getting in to DM coincidentally) or maybe it truly is a masterpeice.
As much as i liked violator this one just takes the cake. Im just scared of over playing it but i know for sure it will have massive replayability, being so diverse and all.
tiny little critique, "introspectre" shouldve been canned. its a completely useless transition track and its definetly skip-worthy. Im not a fan of those types of things (i.e the minute long pause on Furious Angels by Rob D before CTD II, always annoys the fuck out of me or the long instrumental after Enjoy the silence which is a part of the track)
edit: the album wouldve been absolutly perfect if they replaced introspectre with the b-side "free"
