cubase help please:) any experts around?

this is a pretty basic problem so might not quite need an expert but....

how do you control the vst synths that come with cubase sx/sl 2/3.

do you create a new midi track and hook it to that or what? i have no idea. im hopeing i can write a melody onto a midi track by playing my keyboard and then hook this track up so it contols a softsynth...

at the mo im using midi sequencing to control my hardware synths and then recording what they play into a audio track. then i drag and drop the samples i make as if i was using ejay

please help me progress into the world of vst's....

That's exactly how you do it. Create a MIDI track, load up your VST in the instruments panel, and then click the drop-down list in the MIDI track properties - the VST instrument will be listed in there as an output.

load your vst in via the top menu.... devices : vst instruments

then create a midi track, and to the left you'll see *out*, click that and select the vst instrument (http://www.pleaseeat.us/show.php?iid=322981948.jpeg) now select pencil tool and draw a midi in the track and start making notes

also you should be able to control your hardware like this, if you have a midi cable and plug your synth audio output into your audio in on your soundcard, plus it uses no cpu

I don't mean to be an ass but didn't you read the manual? It will tell you how to do this.
