Proven effects of trance on your brain?

Greetings,

I am somewhat new to this genre of music, but it is just so amazing. The first time I ever listened to a trance track, I was amazed at what effects it had on me.

My question is, have there ever been any scientific studies done on trance music to determine its effects on the human brain?

I am sure there are some, unless I am suffering from some kind of placebo effect.

And what kinda of 'effects' are you looking for? neurogenesis, behavioral changes?
