what's that? the invention of the mix cd killed the art of the mixtape, and mix cd's are still made strongly. don't worry, as long as DJ's can make more money from selling cd's than mp3's they'll keep making them.

actually i'm referring to custom mixes that you make other people (espescially to represent your feelings, whatever it maybe at the time). I'm not talking about compliations that dj's make. sorry for being not clear.

I still do them, for myself largely. Its nice to be able to put in a chopped up mix...that way you can play it straight through, or if you want to jump to a point in the mix, you can.

the mix tape is still the preferred gift in relationships even though the tape deck is out dated. nothing beats rocking out to Love Shack by the B-52's or Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer.

Ahhh the days of the mix tape, I remember sitting at home, listening to the radio, and ripping songs from the radio onto tapes and even before that, I remember holding up a tape recorder up to the radio to record the songs. The good ole days.
