.flp -> musical score ????

Ok, so a while back I won this composition contest with a trance entry that I created using FL Studio 5. This chick called me up and told me she needed a musical score of it for state level so that I wouldnt be disqualified. Now what? The best solution I can think of is exporting all of the pianoroll scores to midi and placing them into some composition program. Is there any shortcut? Any help is appreciated... I have to give this to her by thursday. Thanks.

Sincerely,
Distressed in Detroit

(just playin)

- Adam Kelly

you should ask her... because if she knows what you wrote it with it doesn't make much sense.

Why don't you just write it out?

P.S. Scoring is easy for Cubase users.

Yeah, you could port it to Cubase, or you could get Finale and import the MIDI.

Along the lines of what the above posters said. First export all the parts as MIDI parts. Then import them into a program that supports scoring.

Step 1: Give all the channels proper names like "Kick", "Clap", "Main Lead" and etc.

Step 2: Go on "Tools" and select "Prepare for MIDI export" (this converts all the channels to midi channels, you can give each channel a different midi sound By default all the channels will be piano. But, doesn't matter since they want to VIEW the notes.)

Step 3: Then push CTRL + SHIFT + M (shortcut for exporting to MIDI)
Now just give it a proper filename and push start in the next window.

If they require anything more you'll probably need to send them the .flp-file, but I can't see why they would need that if they allready got the MIDI.

Thank you very much Corteoz. I really appreciate the steps. I'm gonna go with that option. Thanks to everyone else too btw.
