Dunno noob production question?

hi guys,
I'm a noob plz bare with me.
I got a great deal on some production software from a friend.
The deal consist of:
1.reason
2.pro tools
3.ableton live
4.soundforge
5.acid

Would i be able to make tracks?

Search is down before you come and bitch me bout it

you could make cracking tracks in reason alone.

pro tools is kind of pointless unless you have the hardware and are going to do live recording. live is a pretty awesome digital audio workstation geared towards live mixes but synth wise you'll need to buy a few of your own separately. same with acid i think. soundforge is pretty much all you need for maintaing, treating, cutting up wavs and such.

although yea, thats way too much of a learning curve to junk on 1 person who doesnt know anything about production.

really you only need a copy of reason and that'll have you sorted for years as long as the interest and desire to get better is there.

Yeah, Reason if your wanting something to just start off with straight away. Ableton Live is very good also but like derivative says, it will take a bit of time to download all the pugins (VSTs) you need to get started.

If you are going to go the Live path, check out this search engine for plugins of all sorts. http://www.kvraudio.com/get.php
