hi my name is tom cruise, and i won't be in your movie unless you pay me 20 mil
you read the superlong title. and it's the truth. how can someone demand (not targeting ratboy here totally, it could be any star for that matter) that much money? just to act? most of it isn't even good acting. take arnold. a big monster of a man, i believe he won the mr. universe contest way back in the day when he wasn't some wash-up action 'star'. he was demanding 30 million dollars to act in any movie. i'd like some justification, please. there are millions starving in third world countries, hundreds of thousands of people homeless throughout north america, children in poverty, under-funded schools and god knows what else going on all around us, but we still have that much money to throw around? christ. america is still having a hard time forgiving debts from ethiopia. hey guys, you're never going to see it.
what about brain surgeons? what about firefighters? what about teachers? i understand that the entertainment industry has no correlation to the salaries of public service workers, but when you hold them up together, it really makes no sense. a police man works all hours of the day/night, deals with the lowest forms of humanity, puts his life at risk for our safety and the benefit of society. he gets maybe 50k a year. now, take our friend tom cruise. he looks pretty for the camera and gives a decent act. cut em a cheque for 25 million dollars, he deserves!
and why is everyone obsessed with what celebrities are watching, doing, eating, wearing, doing. all those awful shows, with all the 'latest hollywood gossip'. OoOOoOoooOOOoo!!! mabye i'll see kim bassenger ducking into a limousine! it's matt damon's birthday?? fuck right off.
so yeah, that's my .02 dollars. buy yourself something nice. late.
