a place amongst the top musical players. His confidence is transparent in
everything he does from the running of his label Kilowatt, his growing list
of high-end remixes and his continuous touring.

Friday, November 18th: HONEYDEW!

Buzzlife brings back the infamous HoneyDew series of events at Cubik.
These events traditionally happened three to four times a year at Nation.
They highlighted DJs and live acts with a focus on a larger variety, a
diverse mixture and an increase in the amount of talent that is usually
booked at our weekly events.

We are proud to re-introduce HoneyDew with 'Series 1' taking place at
Nation on Friday, November 18th from 8pm - 4am. The first band hits the
stage at 8pm, and the entertainment continues right up until 4am. Tonight
will feature a combination of five international cutting-ege bands, three
international dj's and the finale of the month-long Scion Battle of the DJs.

clubbing! This year, Buzzlife is upping the bar with a huge pre-Thanksgiving
event on Wednesday, November 23rd featuring international superstar Paul
Oakenfold as well as local favorite Scott Henry. Don't wait to buy your
tickets - this is one of only 4 US tour dates for Oakey, and the discounted

Thursday, November 24th: TURKEY FEVER

Turkey Fever -- a silly name to the average joe, but to others it holds a
far more sacred significance. Scott Henry and Feelgood's Thursday night
Fever parties were the fuel that kept the 90s Baltimore rave fire burning
brightly. Since Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday, that meant that after
filling themselves with turkey, stuffing and annoying relatives all day,
ravers knew that there was a light at the end of the tunnel come evening --
Turkey Fever.Easily the biggest Fever party of the year, EVERY year from '93
onward (Fever started in December of '92).

SCOTT HENRY [Buzzlife | Fever | DC]

Friday, November 25th:

DJ ICEY [Zone Records / Essential Mix / FFRR
Recordings, Orlando]
Playing 100+ gigs per year, Icey is a touring maniac. But that doesn't
keep him out of the studio during the week working on new tracks for his
Indie Labels Zone and Tree records, constantly trying to push the envelope
to make his fans sweat on the dancefloor. The new material is then cut on
dub plates and tested out on weekend gigs: “There is nothing better than
finishing a tune and seeing the reaction from a crowded dancefloor right
after finishing it," he beams.
ELITE FORCE [Kingsize | Lot49 | TCR]
sHack's Elite Force project began back in 1996, debuting on his own newly
founded "Fused and Bruised" label. In 2001 he began recording for tech-funk
pioneers "Whole9yards" and has since spearheaded their campaign for global
domination with four massive singles and found support from dancefloors
across the globe, as well as finding time to record for labels such as
Kingsize, TCR, Thrust, Moonshine and Blue Black.
PROXXY [Club Five | Instictive Grooves | DC]
DJ LANTERN [Midnightsons | DC]
D-FECT (Deinfamous & Illeffect) [Incognito |

The breaks scene is so huge down south (charlotte, atlanta, florida) and DC is just far south enough to get all these delicious breaks djs. Whenever they come up to New York, all you get are tons of meatheads screaming they can't dance to that shit.

If anyone here's ever seen the X-ecutioners live, you'll understand what I'm saying. Rob Swift is an awesome turntablist!

How can one NOT dance to breaks? That's my question!

I have no idea. i think the "complicated" beat patterns are too much for the meatheads. I mean, with all the girls, booze, and low light, I'm surprised they can even walk a straight line.

LOL

I almost got my ass kicked by those bouncers the last time I was there for jumping that stupid fence that they put next to the train tracks. I always used to take that shortcut to get back to our parking spot, but evidently someone got hit by the train so they installed fencing. Damn amateurs, screwing everything up for us. It's not like we haven't been crossing those tracks for 10+ years!!!
