Richard Gale - *****DRUNKEN TRACK*********- strangely ethnic

here is a little something i did when i was a bit drunk.

after playing with it a bit now and then i thought id post it here.

strangely its very ethnicy but with a more sinister side to it.

still a bit of a play around, so arrangement is all over the place and more is to be added. so im not looking for crit as such, just some ideas/opinions on where i should go with it.

richard gale- mars attacks! (sobering up version)

listen with an open mind!!!!!!!!!

mhm pretty cool track richard
i really liked the melody runs, though i feel that the track is too unbalanced (like the kick to lowd, the melody to thin and low) stuff like that. but, that's just my pedantic mind rolling around
didn't care for the cowbell
great stuff otherwise. very original work

Hey Rich,

Nice drunk tune! I turn to weed for inspiration sometimes

This is different and cool and your bass has attitude!

I'm not a big fan of the cowbell thing that mirrors the kick.

Maybe some effects on your main lead would give it some depth - sounds kinda dry right now.

Otherwise, no complaints.. it's chilled and unique which is what I've come to expect from you!

Keep up the fine work! You are a producing machine,
Trev

Hey,
Nice beat, lol that percussion sounds like early 90's EDM .
I like the vibe runing now at 1:20, this could be in GTA San Andreas, some housy vocals would kick ass, the synth supporting with chords sound way simple imo, I would try another combination .
In overall, nice tune, has a nice vibe.
Keep it up .
Kopi =o.

sooper:
cheers for checking glad you enjoyed...

i think that main synth is purely because i was drunk! i tried adding a bit of reverb to it. but it didnt seam to work as well as the dry sound. maybe a nice symphonic or phaser effect?

i dont know where that bass came from- drunkeness again! its a bit more groovy than my usual style.

cowbell- im not sure about it myself. i copied it from the kick in 'rocker' by alter ego.

the kopester:

thanks for checkin my tune dude..

vocals sound interesting.. maybe some housey rap...?

now two people have said the synth sounds not too good i might change it for another.

thanks for both of your comments guys

Maybe if you played around with the filter using LFO on the main lead it would give it that needed character.. does that make sense? I'm new to this technical mumbo jumbo stuff.. I just like turning knobs and pressing buttons!!

You should get drunk more often if that's where the groovy bass came from! I hope you're drinking right now

Damn, donwloaded the track, but couldn't force myself to listen to it entirely. First 30 secs, then skipped some to the middle and then the end...
Nope, can't say i like it ... seems to drag on and on, nothing really happes... can't keep me interested ... probably the wrong Trance genre for me, i like more energetic AVB style tracks - so don't overreact on my comments.

Sorry dude

i cant see avb ever playing a track like this... id love it if he did tho

as with most of my tracks its very minimal and more downlifting than uplifting..

Listening now.

I personally aren't that keen on the sharp cowbell thingies. It gets a tad sharp on the basskick. But thats just a personal reflection.

Wierd track, pretty cool and original.

Oh ok, the strings at 1:58 really gets it going. Hehe, cool, retro synth sounds, reminds me of the Amiga I had when I was little. (which in this case is cool)

Enjoyed it, but I didnt like the percussion that much. I think this would benefit a lot from having a cool breakbeatish kindof thing with a cool "groove" on it that keeps evolving..

Anyway, some ideas there..

Bra jobbat!
