Might wanna try the search function before you post next time, this has been asked probably a 1000 times
But anyways, the Sidechainer vst effect, it's free, but it only works in mono.. (left input is main signal and right signal is kick/whatever ... unless it's the other way around, can't remember )
You create a group track, send signal from your kick to the group track (where the sidechainer is) hard panned left, route the bass to the group track, hard panned right( I think). this way the signal from the kick is used to apply the correct compression to the bass
There is a 4 track plugin out now, I think, but I don't know how it works or what it's called...
you can search for "sidechaining" for more info
