When this trance song came out a year or two ago, I immediately fell in love with it. I think its got a melody comparable to a beautiful classical piece, and so many times I have sat down with the MIDI and tried to make a decent sounding chillout/lounge remix of this lovely tune, but never came up with anything I thought did the song justice.
But, now, I think I've got something, and I would like to invite anyone interested in chillout/lounge music to take a listen. Keep in mind that I am very much an amatuer at production. I do welcome any feedback and/or comments you would like to leave.

With that perc at the beginning, i almost thought we got a very spacy track.
You could spice the mix up by using some more layers for that string. IE adding another string on a higher octave.
The mix is very calm, i like that.

is that a bad thing, the track being a bit spacey? i like the separation the verb on that perc gave.
i agree about the layers. i would like to do something similiar with the bassline as well.

nice chilled version i'd say, would have liked some more atmospheric pads but always cool to listen to a laidback track

Am really liking the strings, and the lead definately has its moments, but I just cannot get around that it sounds as if some two-year-old is just playing one key at a time, index finger and all... would like more dynamics in the melody as it feels very flat the way it's played atm.

hey, thanks for leaving your thoughts, Mr. Rusch! i've thought the same thing about the piano-esque lead. at first, i tried remedying it by adding delay to make it trail off more.
what would you suggest doing to give the melody more "dynamics"? is it in the effects or in the instrument? or the combination?
