The reason I had to use the server above is cos the TranceAddict Stream Server would not work for me. The MP3 sounds fine on my PC but will when uploaded to the TranceAddict Stream server is says its fine but try download it and it just makes media player hang!

I used to post MP3's here on the TranceAddict Stream Server and they worked but I can't get it working not any more. I use the same MP3 and audio editing software as before. I've tried just about everything I can think of. The original is in CD quality wav file. I've tried reducing quality of the wav to 11025khz 8bit stereo. Then encoding with Lame encoder layer. Settings for MP3 either using MPEG 1 or MPEG 2, quality (very high) q=0, bitrate min=32kbps (also tried others), mode stereo(also tried mono), VBR method disabled. Still no luck the streamed MP3 does not want to work once uploaded to the site!

I also tried turing off the Windows Firewall then uploading the file but still the same thing it sayes it's posted ok but won't stream.

If someone could plz gimme a hand with the wav and mp3 settings so that I can get that stubborn TranceAddict Stream Server to work with my MP3's that would be great!

most likely the file is too big for the streaming server (250kb - too small and a pain in the ass when recording a sample)

put the file on www.yousendit.com, u can use files up to 1GB to that server and it stays there for 7 days or 25 downloads and its free.

the server when it uploads your file, it gives u a link to get the file, but when u're copying the link to this forum, DO NOT INCLUDE THE http:// FROM THE LINK. that is because that website is putting problems to forums with our uploading files because they say that their service is for commercial purposes, not for sharing stuff (yeah whatever) and when u just copy the whole link and someone clicks on it, the website (www.yousendit.com) know where is that link coming from, which leads them to here and then they start bitching, so the solution is to put the link directly on the address bar, that way when u go to the link, it doesnt have the website that it came from = no bitching.

example: no!---> {http://} <---no! s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=09SHU6QHLWMUS2JJS8PU29MQVC

I've also been having problems posting samples through the forum tool - same problem as described above, and my samples were DEFINITELY smaller than 250 kB.

Anyone have any suggestions?

^^ yeah mine are under 250kb also and don't work with the TA Stream Server. That's why I'm useing another server for storing files.


HAS ANYONE FOUND ANY PROBLEMS DOWNLOADING AND LISTENING TO THE MP3 SAMPLE LINKED ABOVE???

I am able to download, rename it to mp3 and listen to it fine. I was thinking that this would be a fairly well known trance track?? Any comments would be much appreciated... Thanks
