Goldenscan - Halycon (Evasive remix) (Full track 320Kbs)

Hi guys, I have had this track finished for quite a while now. Never bothered entering it into the competition cus I couldn't be bothered to post it to Holland from the UK.

Anyway, here is my interpretation of the track, would love any feedback or comments on the remix. This is the FULL LENGTH version of the track. So enjoy!

Great uplifting track overall. Speaking from another producers point of view i am going to rate this 8/10 overall. Love the bassline and precussion elements, but felt their needed to be more sfx layered into the mix and maybe a slightly reworked breakdown section.

Good usuage of the orginal chord progression and vocal sample, nice arrangement and mixing, good EQ on the synth sections though i am not sure about the compression on the bassline. Might just be a personal thing with me though

What was this produced using? Would like to hear about your setup, it sound's like T-Racks for the mastering. The mixing is well done (as is the mastering). I give you 9/10 in this respect.

Do you have a discography of your other remixes/orginal productions? Would love to hear more from you. You've got a grasp of mixing progressive and melodic composition for creating uplifting trance productions.

Love to hear more!

Sorry, I can't really find anything specific to say about it. Really nice work though!

Thanks Megazoid, this was made purely in Reason, all mastering and eq'ing done internally through that. Glad you liked the overall sound. No probs! Thanks for listening! There's not really a lot to it, I struggled for a while to come up with anything on this remix, I still haven't heard the original!!

Hi abora,
not bad at all.You produced a clubby remix. I just think you used to much from the original. In my opinion there have to be some own variations or ideas, which are different from the original track. It seems that you used exactly the same mainleadline and pads so I am missing a bit the individuality. Of course there have to be some original elements that you can recognize the track but also some new ones.
As somebody above mentioned the quality I am not really convinced of it. I know how difficult it can be, but I think there is still some work to do (the sounds as well as the quality donīt convince me,but I know it isnīt easy,I am myself far away from being perfect).Perhaps it is as well because of the software reason, you donīt have the options using another software (like cubase or logic).
greetings
daniel
