Progressive Trance - Kopi Luwak

Hello,
As you already know I am a chill out, ambient and new age producer, but lately I have been attempting to do some progressive trance.
This is a tune I am working on right now, this sample it's about 3 minutes and half, and any feedback is really welcome because I am not used to do this genre so I lack in alot of aspects .
I used alot of reverb in the main lead, and the reflection maybe is a bit nasty, you tell me, I am not very sure if sounds good or not, also the mastering is decent, I have not worked on it yet because I have not finished yet, I will try to give more punch to the kick and and other stuff, but if you have sugesstion about mastering please post them .
Thanks in advance .

Progressive Trance

Kopi =o.

I think it sounds INCREDIBLE so far!

Other than adding a little more punch to the kick like you already mentioned, I can't think of much else to change so far. Though it's a new genre for you I can definitely hear "your style" in there.

Keep it up, man!

I don't know if the guitar is MEANT to sound disorted\crappy, but it does... Anyway, that disortion drowns in the rest of the music when more elements were added. I think the harmonies here are truly beautiful. Kick needs more punch, as you mentioned The bassline is fitting VERY good to the rest of the sounds. This can become a top track if you finish it

Thank you subtle and david for your encouraging comments .
Alex, I concur about the Koto , I am having some lil issues with it, but I think all is about the reverb and some freqs in the 3000 range, I will fix them, thanks for your comments .

now why do YOU call me a machine :P
your creative output is insane!

This one got a great atmosphere, especially thanks to the great arrangement of sounds. Well, maybe there is a little much reverb on some elements... A little more clarity to the sounds should be better too... And maybe you should make the percussion a little more interesting.
It's cool, and it has a lot of potential. So keep this quality up mate

Bro, thanks for your coments , about the reverb, is so true, I am so used to use tons and tons of reverb on my chill out stuff and I did it also here and is totally true, I will take off that much of reverb to give mor clarity .

Hey Kopi,

The melody is nice but for trance this is way to weak. Maybe if you would get a better bass and better percussions the track would become a little more intresting. On melody alone you won't make it trancewise, but the melody itself is gorgeous. You also just keep going with the melody for the full sample I have heard which becomes quite predictable.

So I am one of the few here so far but I am not overly impressed with the track. Yes u use gorgeous sounds, yes u have a nice melody but no trance so far is not your best genre. The lack of percussion and bass end up giving this track a shortage of energy and drive.

Cheers mate! Keep it up!

I feel and has always felt that trance is a very big genre, it's huge really. This is deffo one style in trance

Nice starting slow with a melody, the beginning is a great place to put a melodic intro to get interest up

The track start mysteriously and good. I'd personally kick in the 1:28 part earlier, but this is fine if you're making a long track

I think the kicks shouldn't be hard in this one, it suits the theme of the track. Only thing I'd consider is maybe introducing a more protruding melodic hook?

Anyway, this sounds great so far
