Hey guys. thought I'd post another trak I've been working on. The melody was the hardest part of this song. Well, hope I get some constructive criticism on this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I've already listened to your track... so.. small review..

In general song sounds quite not bad at all I like those synths and melody quite well done... but:
- beginning is a bit strange.. i would add some small intro
- kick<>hihat mismatch.. sth's a bit wrong here. 1) kick should be harder and more punchy or 2) hihat's volume should be decreased
- I like climate build on much FXes mixed up with strings.. but I haven't heard any...
- 2:50 hat is not idea in my opinion - i woul replace'em with some sting part with fxes to uplift the tune
- no ending

Keep up working!

Cheers!

I like the intro percs and synths. Haven't heard a good old fashioned clap in awhile

That clap/hat combo at around 2:50 felt a bit out-of-nowhere

Melody is really nice.

The re-introduction of the beat after the breakdown seems a bit harsh. There isn't really much of a buildup and it comes all of the sudden.

Great track overall though.

Thumbs up

Oh right, I've just listened to your track. Very promising I must say Some very nice and well selected samples, pleasant melody... What can be improved? I agree with djuzi , this tune needs an intro. And as for 2:50, I'd say that it should be something different too...

Anyway, very good track!

Cheers!

Love that avatar marcus

Good buildup in it, I like lots layered stuff.
I'd like something more to happen in it though, maybe some panned trancegated strings at your main melody?

Good stuff

yah, i think the melody is the hardest part of ANY song...

and i think it could use some more dissonace there, its a liitle boring.

over-all, i liked it, and i wouldnt change too much. cant say i could do much better myself

Thanks so much for all the input guys. It's so essential to get feedback from other people I think, good and bad...makes me able to focus on fine tuning it.

- Yes, the beginning needs some more stuff, fx, etc.
- I was wondering if the break sounded weird to people when I introduced the drums again. Maybe I need to approach it differently. I'm removing the drums from the break next post.
- Will try to make kick punchier. That seems to be tricky though. Is it all about the sample of the kick? Or how I EQ it?
- Hehe, yeah, I love that avatar too...
- I'll be posting some changes to this track soon.

Very nice tune, I love the melody, really damn nice.

Breakdown is decent, could do with more of a buildup imo.

What did you produce this with?

i usually dont listen to these kinda songs, but i actually mostly enjoyed this track. not bad at all. although you can do a few things to it. first i think the song can be better if its longer.

as for something i would really think needs improvement that will make the song sound much better:

at 1:22, u could have started the kick harder maybe. but that could only be my taste.

at 2:44, u should have completely stopped the music, and maybe play a nice slow background music that will lead to the part thats actually currently on 2:44

at 3:55, u should work on the change to the chorus sounds. for some reason, it sounds odd and unprofessional.

dont take this as bad comments, criticizing is only good to you so you get peoples opinions, sometimes they are really important, cz some mistakes u wont notice until mentioned.

while i was listening to the end, i perfectly mixed it with armin van buuren - wait for you. it mixes pretty well!!

Thanks guys,

Mateh - I used Reason to make all my tracks. No other software or hardware. Then I bring it into Wavelab to increase volume.

SpecRadio - Yes, your right I need to up the percs

Stefanoc - Thanks for your input anyways. I love hearing the bad comments, it gives me another perspective to my song.

- Yes the kick should've been harder

- I did change this middle part, will post soon

- Will look into this

- Heheh, that's cool, yeah since I DJ too, I try to make the beginning and ending DJ friendly.

Yeah I thought about making the track longer, but it ends up sounding too long. Maybe I'll just make 2 versions of it.

Sweet thanks again guys.
