Anyone Invest in online HYIPs?

Hi, Just wondering, has anyone ever invest in these "HYIPs" or used autosurfs? Supposedly people can make a lot of money if they find the programs that are not scams. Does anyone have any experience in these thing? If so, please let me know.

Some of the are discussed at

Btw, they're illegal and only a small percentage gets profit out of them. Most of the people lose their money (to that small percentage)

You invest in a program (actually it's a gift, because you can never reclaim your money), you surf a certain amount of sites every day and you earn a percentage of your investment. For example you give $5, and every day that your surf your will get 1% of that §5. Of course they use the money from people that join after you, to pay your profits. So it's jsut a diguised piramid scheme.

EDIT: this is autosurfs that I'm describing. HYIP are the same - the surfing part.

What I got from outside is that basically you invest in this website, than you get people to invest in this website too. You think you have invested the money in the website, but in real you only get money back if you get others to invest too, the company makes money or not.

Autosurf and all I didnt get.

generally most are "Ponzi" schemes. Which is to say they pay profits to older members with new money coming in from new members. Ponzi schemes can be maintained for QUITE a long time, several years, as long as there is constant growth... It is doomed to collapse eventually though (social security is a ponzi scheme)
