FL Studio 6 scheduled for end of 2005

Good news for all FL Studio owners, the new version should come out before the new year. The new tools look great, and more information can be seen at www.flstudio.com. I'm really looking forward to this update, should give an even more professional sound to my new tracks. Tell me your thoughts.

- Adam

fl5 users can get the fl6 free of charge because of lifetime uprgrades right? if so, sweet. i've seen a promo for it. it wasn't totally groundbreaking, but they did add tools that would be of good use.

Multiband Compressor <3

I've also got my eye on that delay bank. And the new mixer is a godsend, to be sure. In general, there are a lot of new features that I like.

I would SIMPLY LOVE if it were ported to OSX. I'm gonna try to install FL5 onto virtualPC on my girlfriend's iBook sometime soon to see if it works. FL on a G4 or G5 processor would FLY!!!

I've got a friend thats trying out some sort of beta version. Apparently the VST support isnt working so well, but he said the sound quality was improved. That's good news to me! Even if the rest is just small improvements, I'm happy with a sharper interface and better quality.

I just went ahead and purchased Sytrus last night. Apparently Sytrus 2 is coming out soon with a free update for registered users. There was a limited time deal from Novermber 2nd to November 30th. Thats today. At $59 I couldn't pass it up... what a steal! Saving $120.

FL Studio does indeed come with lifetime free updates if you purchased it online.

How do you figure?

Always seem to come across this idea that Macs are somehow faster than PCs... it's not true, and the proof is with Cubase, the only existing cross-platform sequencer, which runs at about the same speed on both platforms.

Anyway, the sequencers themselves generate very little overhead. All the CPU cycles are taken up by instruments and effects. The sequencers already "fly" on any and all platforms - it's the playback that bogs it down.

I wasn't asking for a confirmation of my "flying" ability, I was just making a comment to further re-enstate that I'm a happy FL5 user who will use FL6 when it comes out and I will try to use it in virtualPC for the experimentation value. DigiNut, don't waste too much of your time correcting people in online forums.... it's a)futile and b)often redundant. No offence, but let everyone stumble into thier own learning curves.

Ok USA.

I kind of thought the purpose of this forum was so people wouldn't always have to stumble into their own learning curves.

Might as well save a few people from blowing $5000 on a fancy G5 thinking that it's going to be able to support projects 10 times larger than a PC, no?

+1

Hey. The real purpose of this forum is to correct and help out fellow producers. If there is a misconception presented, and its corrected, take it as a learning student, rather than a disrepectful comment to your knowledge. We are all, always learning and its bad to chase away people who help you do that.

Cheers,
Zac
